Jeremy Laurin


Jeremy Laurin has been active in the technology sector as both an investor and an entrepreneur in Ontario for over 15 years.

Prior to joining ventureLAB Jeremy held leadership roles with both the Ontario Centres of Excellence[OCE] and the Investment Accelerator Fund [IAF] where he was instrumental in helping to support a portfolio of 35 start-up companies. Jeremy was directly responsible for the ICT and digital media sector for the fund.

Prior to joining OCE Jeremy was a technology entrepreneur having co-founded his first of three IT firms in Kingston, Ontario in 1995. Throughout his career he has successfully authored Patent’s and has been responsible for raising private equity, growing the IP assets of the firms he has led and creating shareholder value.

Jeremy has worked internationally opening offices throughout the European Union, China, Korea, Japan and the United States of America.

In 2000 Jeremy was recognized by St. Lawrence College with the prestigious Alumni of Distinction Award. In 2001 Jeremy was honoured with the Entrepreneur of the Year award and in that same year his company was recognized with the Business of the Year award from the Bank of Nova Scotia.
